The clay ground is set in over 30 acres of breath-taking countryside in the heart of Lincolnshire surrounded by woods and lakes.
The ground itself was originally laid out by George Digweed, numerous times world champion in his field.
Under expert guidance and safe tuition of our experienced team which includes Richard Gray an ex-International clay shooter and recent Lincolnshire supreme champion, you and your guests can be assured that your day will be exciting, fun and memorable.
We can provide everything you need including guns, cartridges, safety equipment and prizes if required.
Car parking for up to 50 cars is available on-site next to the clubhouse.
Our shoot lodge is equipped to cater for a large range of refreshments and on the day you will enjoy breakfast cobs with tea or coffee on arrival, elevenses at mid-morning break (simulated driven game days only), lunch with high quality ingredients sourced from local suppliers and high tea at the end of your day.
Whether you are looking to improve your skills ahead of the game shooting season, experience shooting clays designed to replicate game for the first time or simply enjoy a great day out, Brandon Wood Clay Shooting Ground offers a unique and exciting day to remember.
Our simulated game days are designed for 15 guns and our corporate days are designed for between 20 and 50 guns.
Unlike many other “open” terrain clay shooting grounds, Brandon Wood is set in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside incorporating woodland, grouse butts and numerous high towers including our famous 90 foot high pheasant tower which allows our guests to enjoy a true field sports day in unique and authentic surroundings.
Since re-opening the ground under new management (Mark Crane) in 2016, significant investment has been made in improving the look and feel of the course, all new Bowman traps have been introduced and a new clubhouse with covered outside decking has been built with full catering and toilet facilities.
In addition to regular well supported public 50 bird open days, throughout 2018 we hosted several Corporate and Simulated game days all of which were a huge success with all teams seeking future dates for a return visit.
In 2019 we are keen to build on this success with more events advertised well in advance to give our customers every chance of enjoying a unique and enjoyable days shooting in beautiful surroundings with welcoming, experienced and hospitable staff.
All events will take place at Brandon Wood Clay shooting Ground at Gorse Lodge Stubton near Newark.
